spam to the list

Hi Mary Sue & Everyone
That last spam looks like one of those automatic blog advertising systems that send to millions of email addresses at random. It's not just AOL & Yahoo, there is a heap of other service providers being used by scammers, most come from USA, China & Africa.
This sort of spam is difficult to stop, it is sometimes just non malicious junk advertising, so no one bothers to chase it up & stop it.
But in Australia we now have a Spam Watch division, in connection with police agencies, for more serious spam & we can report information, email addresses & URL, etc. I have just had this problem with the FBI Robert Muller Scam, It is a money extortion group that send continuous threats, saying you owe them money. The group is mostly in China & are under investigation in an effort to catch them during a money transaction.
Our Spam Watch agency, permanently monitors these people & all connected email addresses etc. Here it is illegal to ask for money for a scam & catching these people is hard, but they regularly make silly mistakes & some of them occasionally get busted.
My motto with emails is,
"if in doubt, block it out"

can't prevent messages to the list that come from compromised email
