Greetings, all, from the sunny Pacific NW coast, at least for today. Starting two days ago, my Amaryllis belladonna bulbs began putting up shoots, now 8 shoots on 5 bulbs, with probably more to come. For some reason they are much later than in past years, both here and in the original patch from which most of mine came. From the double shoots, it's clear that the cold weather last winter did not kill them, or stop priorly formed shoots from forming. My diagnosis at this time is gardener impatience, a trait I've been know to exhibit in the past. Kathleen
