My understanding is that A belladonna gets an average of an inch of rain per month in the summer in its native habitat--hence the year-around roots. There are a ton of them here in bloom now in Moss Landing if anyone wants to come select some. Best wishes, Bill the Bulb Baron (William R.P. Welch) Phone (831) 236-8397
