Hi Mike,
How about coastal having less drying out in summer, as well as less frost
in winter? My understanding is that A belladonna gets an average of an inch
of rain per month in the summer in its native habitat--hence the
year-around roots.
There are a ton of them here in bloom now in Moss Landing if anyone wants
to come select some.
