Lycoris squamigera in a country garden

One of the largest stands of L. squamigera that I've seen was in one of my
family's ancestral cemeteries in PA Dutch country in Central Pennsylvania.
Many of the graves were from the first half of the 19th century. I wonder
who planted them and how long ago.
