Raccoon problems

I use a very light brushed on
application of Paraffin around the edge of precious bulb and seed pots
Here in North America, paraffin is wax that we melt to put on the top
of jam to keep mold out. It doesn't have any smell, so I don't think
it would deter anything. Is this what you mean?
