Yes, I enjoyed Ian's bulb logs.

He finds that planting seed halfway down the pot produces more mature
seedlings than sowing near the surface. He thinks that the plant
doesn't have to waste time getting its bulb down where it needs to be.

I haven't sown all of the seedex seeds yet, so I will experiment.
