Plantsmen/women, John Kaufman and his wife, San Francisco, California, dropped by the UC/D Botanical Conservatory last week to trade surplus orchids for ??????? He "does" orchids and his wife does ??????? He also "does" Clivia sp. He showed us all photographs of a Clivia miniata 'Light of Buddha' with horizontally striped leaves. The plant was quite magnificent and unique to me. He wrote later "There are many FANTASTIC Clivia Light of Buddha pictures at: <http://www.shieldgardens.com/>http://www.shieldgardens.com/ He modestly shares "the photo of my plant looks nicer (you saw it)." Here is his wish. Please help me get people to join (free!) the Clivia Club of Northern California. We plan three meetings a year at member's homes. I hope we can have our first meeting in April. We have only 5 members so far. I hope we can swap seeds and plants and eventually have 60 or more members in N. CA. I can get famous speakers to talk for free during year one. John mailto:jdkaufman<voicematch@yahoo.com I know a number of you adore variegated plants. Do drop him a line. From one-on-one to Clivia list. Who knows. Kind regards, Joyce Miller Joyce E.
