Dear Robin, I have found your comments this week about British native bulbs very interesting. I was glad you explained about 'Lords and Ladies' as I had no idea what Alberto meant when he responded with those words. I am assuming that most if not all of these plants you have described need summer rainfall like they would find in Britain to do well. Do those of you on this list from Britain grow any of these in your gardens or do most of you have your hands full with the collections you maintain? Are there other bulbs that although not native or naturalized do well in the ground in the UK with minimal care and protection? Mary Sue
