Dell, Beyer makes a product now available at Home Depot, in liquid and also granular. I can not recall the name it goes by, but is in a blue plastic container. I have used it (the liquid as a systemic spray) a few times, even though one application ought to last for several months. There are still a few signs of thrips and even some cutworms in the top of the soil have been found. So to the granular form I'll go for the winter months.
