So in 2008 I received 3-5 bulbs of Lycoris chinensis from Jim Waddick. (Thanks Jim!). In my northern climate, only two survived the first winter. Four years ago, another died, and for the last three years the last remaining one has bloomed. This year I have let it go to seed. At least it looks like it is producing seed. And that is my question: is this Lycoris self-fertile? The pods seem more promising than the sterile L. squamigera ever shows.
