Coin envelope vs glassine? I use coin envelopes for large dry seed such as hippeastrum, organza bags for large fleshy seed like crinum and glassine for fine seed like cardinal flower and for pollen. Ideally I would buy glassine envelopes with the opening on a long side for pollen and on a short side for seed but I just use the pollen ones for seed because I use a hundred times as many for pollen as for seed. Recently I noticed a friend using organza bags to protect individual dahlia blooms from japanese beetles and she said it was common practice for cut flowers. _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net>
