Robert, Have you ever tried cleaning your aroid seeds in a blender? Fill it half full of water, toss in the seeds, and give it a few pulses. Pour it out through a strainer, and spread the remaining seeds and skins on a towel. Let dry, and the seeds are easily separated from the 'chaff'. Works like a charm, with no damage whatsoever to the seeds. I've only tried it with arisaemas, but it should work with most aroids. I have memories of trying to clean arisaema seeds in a backwater hotel in Yunnan many years ago. My hands were painful for days afterwards. Something to do with the oxalate crystals.
