Deadheading Amaryllis belladona

I hand pollinate my Amaryllis and harvest the seeds.
The seeds are lovely to look at and they grow fast.

I have let mine go to seed and get more every year. They are in an area
that is easy to do this, spectacular in bloom but not noticable when seed

Does anyone else deadhead dying flowers of Amaryllis belladonna?
Every day or every other day I remove the wilting/dying flowers from each
flower head. I simply pull down on the green pedicel and it snaps off
cleanly at the base. This removes any seed formation and may lead to more
energy for flower development next year (?). Besides, the overall
appearance is improved.
