Vlad, There are Erythroniums native to northern California areas with a similar climate (Zone ~8). I would propose that their limitation in growing further South in California is more defined by adequate spring moisture than minimum winter temps. -|<ipp ________________________________ From: pbs <pbs-bounces@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> on behalf of Vlad Hempel via pbs <pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> Sent: Sunday, September 12, 2021 10:24 PM To: Pacific Bulb Society <pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> Cc: Vlad Hempel <vlad.hempel@gmail.com> Subject: [pbs] Erythronium in warmer climates? Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend. Wondering if this beautiful plant would do well in warmer climate, I mean zone 8a and above. Anyone has grown it successfully? I am asking for a dear friend who would love to grow, he lives in an area with typical Mediterranean patterns. Please share anything that can help, I haven't tried personally growing this beauty yet, but considering it for next spring (finally, after so many years). Thank you and have a lovely week, Vlad Hempel +4915777291232https://http://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com//… _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com//… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net http://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net>
