Dear all: I'm hoping for some tips on getting my two Pseudogaltonia clavata plants to grow and size up. I bought them from a vendor in Tucson five or six years ago – their bulbs were about freesia-sized – and planted them in my Yuma garden. They break dormancy in October, grow for two months or so, and then go dormant again. All I get is one thin leaf, and I don't perceive any significant increasing in size. I did transplant them once to what I thought would be a more favorable location once I discerned their growth pattern. Any tips? Perhaps the climate in Yuma doesn't allow them grow long enough to increase in size? Since it takes them 20 years to bloom, perhaps this is normal growth?
