Jeff,

You cannot overpot large Amaryllids. If yours is 12 years old I would say 2 gallons is the smallest I would allow. You will get blooms faster in a larger pot. 5 gallons is the minimum size I would suggest for long-term growth.

I have only watered it a couple times but yes temps has fallen. I will
start watering it a bit regularly now. It is in a 2 gallon pot I think.
The roots fit nicely without being crowded when I got it. It is a seedling
grown and about 12 or 14 years old. Large bulb that I hope to see bloom
one day. Thanks for the advice.

Hey guys I need some advice on sprouting brunsvigia Josephine. I acquired
an older bulb about 12 or 14 years old this summer. While the rest of my
South African bulbs are sprouting and growing beautifully this one has yet
to take off. Any advice? I am in a Zone 7 hey I need a sitting on a deck
that is covered and gets a little bit hotter than the outside temperature.
