Ammocharis coranica

Hi Max,
Glad you have the Ammocharis. This species seems to be an opportunistic
grower. Mine have gone dormant in the heat once this summer and now have a
fresh flush of leaves -- but no blooms in this weather. It may grow
erratically in your climate. Mine are forced dormant in winter in a chilly
greenhouse where they are kept very dry.

I have a young Ammocharis coranica (from the PBX -- thanks Jim
Shields!) whose leaves have just started yellowing this week. Could it
be going dormant already? It's in a coarse mix in a fabric pot, gets
about a half day of sun, and I've been watering twice a week. Weather
has been cool but sunny. I want to ay the leaves emerged in late
March, but I don't remember precisely.
