I forgot to tell you all about another plant that I have blooming. Marie-Paule Opendakker, one of our members from Belgium, sent some small bulbs of Eucharis grandiflora (amazonica) to the BX a couple of years ago. The postal people went postal on them and only the largest bulb was still viable though it was noticeably flattened. I potted that one and now it is putting up two scapes. And the flowers are a little fragrant - not greatly so, though so many descriptions go on about how fragrant it is. The only other time I bloomed one, there was no fragrance at all. The smell reminds me a little of lily-of-the-valley (Convallaria sp) and also like some hymenocallis. Thank you, Marie-Paule. When it has multiplied more, I will offer some bulbs of it on the BX. Dell
