Modest input on several recent topics:
1. Earlier this year I decided that I am going to have to grow much
more Dahlia 'Bishop of Llandaff' notwithstanding my reluctance to
water in the summer. Thanks for the tip, Jim, I will look into the
'mystics' as well.
2. I'm enjoying my first Colchicum bloom ever! ('Glory of Heemstede',
from Russell Stafford). No idea why they didn't bloom last year. Also
blooming is a Eucomis -- I think vandermerwei, but I have lost track
of which is which, and I have had trouble blooming these as well.
Perhaps related to my approach to summer water.
3. I am going to try to get up to UCBG this week, in which case I will
photograph the Brunsvigias in addition to attempting to purchase their
offspring.
