Dear Ton,

The last information I received regarding somalense from the Cyclamen
Society was that, while somalense has bloomed, it has not set seed. Bearing
in mind that the original collection of 3? tubers 17-18 years ago by a
Danish plantsman has not increased, somalense is simply not available.

I do not know if attempts have been made at tissue culture. Wye College in
southern England has been working on tissue culture of cyclamen (there may
be others), so you might contact them.

If you'd like, I can forward your message to Cyclamen-L to see if anyone can
give more up-to-date information.
