Propagating Eucomis vandermerwei

Ellen:

We have rooted Eucomis montana from leaf cuttings (early August in NC) and
it is does work, but is much more timing sensitive than E. bicolor or E.
comosa.

Does anyone know whether Eucomis vandermerwei is best propagated from leaf
cuttings or vertical bulb sections? I've found the former very effective
for E. autumnalis, the later best for E. bicolor, and both only mildly
successful for E. montana. Could be a matter of timing, of course. Thanks
in advance for any help -
