Hi, Anther comment on shade and Tigridias from the Berkeley area. Here they grow beautifully in full sun or shade and anything in between. Those that are in the ground are in full sun on a dry hill. At home I have some in a container with tuberous begonia in the shade. (They bloom at different times) Also in a container in part shade. None of them gets a lot of water, neither do they go completely dry. I think too much moisture would rot them out.
