Paul, I had one that I got locally here in Los Angeles and I lost it over the winter to rot. I left the pots outside and I did not tip them over as I usually do for things that like to be dry. Our winters rarely get much below 40F but they were mush. I'm sure (or rather assume) they can take much colder temps if they are dry.
