Marcus Harvey if Hillview Rare Plants lost his battle with melanoma on December 1st. There is a moving tribute from his son Alex on the Hillview facebook page, as well as from the SRG. Although we never met in person, Marcus was very patient with my (ultimately doomed) efforts to grow Nomocharis, Lilium grayi and others quite unsuited to my attempt at a woodland garden. Some, however, are still surviving and as much as the beauty of the bloom, the story of the plant inspires me to persevere. Sent from my iPhone
