Hello Ina

some set viable seeds
but many are clones and I think they are self sterile

Thanks Roland, but I do have them.  Carolyn mentioned that they never
set viable seed, which set me off wondering if it is possible at all.

As I have various Amarylid family bulbs, which can all be increased by
growing from seed, I find it strange that the Sternbergias set not one
seed.  So am wondering why.  And if it IS possible.

Is it possible to get viable seed from Sternbergia?

Where the badly needed rain at this stage is just lots of wind with a
few drops of rain.  Sending autumn leaves swirling, but leaves the
gardens and farms parched.
