Bender of Lake Forest Park, WA. Pat was a frequent participant in the BX and
always included a friendly note with her order. I had the pleasure of
meeting her and her husband John last year in Portland. Pat was an active
member of a number of plant organizations, including NARGS. She will be
missed by many.
An extensive tribute to Pat appears in the spring 2010 issue of the
NARGS Rock Garden Quarterly. She was a past president of that group
and absolutely great at it. There are few to match her in plant circles.
