Ornithogalum reverchonii
Jim McKenney (Mon, 10 Mar 2008 07:49:17 PDT)

In the summer of 2005 Jane McGary sent me a bulb of Ornithogalum
reverchonii. It was such a big bulb that as I potted it up I was confident
that it would soon be in bloom.

It did not bloom in 2006, and I figured that perhaps it did not like being
in a pot. I planted it into the ground of the cold frame. It did not bloom
in 2007.

Yesterday I took a look, and there is a big inflorescence on the way up!

Photos suggest that this is among the most if not the very most elegant of
the Ornithogalum - Yippee!
