We normally recommend 22C maximum and about 10C minimum.

I wondered if you were developing fast-germinating seeds by growing
your own seeds over several generations. However, if you are getting
your seeds from South Africa, as I am, then perhaps mine will
germinate faster if I keep them hotter than 18 C (70 F). Maybe on top
of my water heater. I'll experiment with my next sowing.
