frog song

My analysis of the local batrachian chorus yesterday was somewhat in error.
Yes, there were peepers and wood frogs. But it has been pointed out to me
that what I then thought were cricket frogs are in fact southeastern chorus
frogs.

Well, I got the chorus part right.

The first of the warblers should be arriving very soon: I’ll have to get out
the warbler song recordings to re-calibrate my ear in time for the beginning
of the season.
