Jim: My guess is that with the re-organization of the Dutch auction houses, many smaller growers/collectors are simply looking for an outlet for their surplus bulbs. When I was in the Netherlands a few years ago, I was shocked at the unusual types of bulbs grown by specialty growers/collectors that rarely see the commercial catalogs.
