I think the Panax shown on the wiki is not Panax quinquefolius, it’s the “other” eastern North American Panax, Panax trifolius. Panax trifolius is a much smaller plant than P. quinquefolius. It’s a lot more common, too, perhaps because so few people recognize it for what it really is.
