The one bulb flower blooming now for which I could not remember a name is Cyanella hyacinthoides BX 342 #11 planted 2012 in a basket set in a sandbox Photos attached zoom and whole plant. The color is a pale mauve, or pale lavender? This is the first bloom I recall seeing. (Not necessarily its first bloom.) I was going to ask for assistance identifying this because my records list it as planted elsewhere. But if it moved, it brought its tag with it! (Likely this forgetful gardener moved it.) There are three plants. The blooming one is growing outside the basket in the sand, or at least the above-ground parts of the plant appear outside the basket. I verified it resembles the examples in the wiki http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/… I did not detect any scent this morning, still shaded. To me this is a lesson why I tag bulbs with permanent labels. I use aluminum strips (cut from soda cans) and press the lettering in with a hard pen. The ink has long faded above-ground but the information is still legible from the impression. That's today's edition of Guess That Bulb.
