Tecophilaea cyanocrocus
Lola L Horwitz (Wed, 07 Feb 2018 06:49:10 PST)

It's beautiful, Mike. I started with one bulb 7 or more years ago and all
it has done is send up leaves ,multiply, and never bloom. If one year they
all bloom I'll have a magnificent show! Suggestions most welcome.
from Lola in z7a, Brooklyn, where it sits on a sunny window, not in the
alpine house.

Congrats Michael! I have fond memories (and pictures) of Tecophilaea from
the alpine house at NYBG!

This bulb, acquired last year from Telos, has been blooming for 5 days

It's so pretty, I thought I'd share...

The camera didn't quite capture the blue, it's a slightly darker shade.
Maybe I'll try again when the sun is shining through the window, although
looking at the weather forecast, it seems we may not see the sun for a

few

days.
