In springs following very dry winters, such as this one, bears wander down from the mountains rising to the east of metro Phoenix, and into the fringe suburbs. They seek water. I predict, this spring, you will again be able to find homeowner security camera video of bears frolicking in swimming pools, and mobile phone video of bears in golf course water hazards.
