note that where Uli's recipe says 'laurel' leaves, the foliage of Laurus
nobilis, Bay Tree is meant - not one of evergreen Prunus typically called
laurel in English (Prunus laurocerasus, P. lusitanica).”
And certainly not Mountain Laurel, Kalmis latifolia, which even the deer
apparently do not touch until they are on the verge of starvation.
Uli, your recipe looks tasty; I think I might be tempted to add some juniper
berries. What do you think?
Season’s Greetings, everyone.
