Dear Vicki

As a basic rule, seed should be covered by a layer of soil/sand to a
depth equal to the size of the seed. Very fine seed, Begonia being a
good example needs just a very light dusting, of the suitable soil mix.
The point perhaps being to 'anchor' the seed so it is not disturbed when
