Bern is absolutely right. I would add that the system works very well and actively keeps you out of trouble. For instance, your permit needs to have all the genera you plan to import and country of origin. As you fill out the online form, prohibited genera won't show in the pulldown menu, so you can't add them. Or they will have a notation that this genus is not permitted to be imported from that country. You'll recall we ran into that with a few things on the group order, because those genera can harbor the bacterium for brown potato rot. This is deadly serious stuff. The whole thing isn't that hard to do correctly. When you place your order, email to the vendor (all of these will be pdfs):1. Copy of your permit2. Sheet with the green/yellow labels (tell vendor which one to use to get to the PIS most convenient to you)3. UPS Ground prepaid shipping label addressed to you from the selected PIS (get the shipping weight right before shipping, or estimate it) When the PIS is done, they slap the UPS label on the box, and it's on its way. I use the PIS down in ATL and they've always been totally professional, friendly, and cooperative. And if your vendor is professional, ships material that is clean and properly labeled, accompanied by their phyto certificate, it will get a spot check and the inspector will put it back neatly.
