Dear PBS Friends, I debated this note because it concerns a plant that is clearly rhizomateous/tuberous and suited to discussion, it is also considered a rampant weed in milder climates. Widely grown as a summer annual for it nice foliage and fragrant flowers,. in tropical countries it is also grown for edible tubers and foliage. It is also a rampant grower even as a summer annual in cooler climates easily growing to 10 ft and more. Is this suited to the PBS BX? It is easy to divide and grow from tubers. Should I send some to the BX when it restarts or is it too obnoxious? Any interested growwers in this vine? Best Jim W.
