Today I repotted some Hyacinthoides lingulata. There were already lots of roots and the shoots were fat and already half an inch high, within a couple inches of the surface. I was able to repot them gently but it would have been easier a couple weeks ago. This species multiplies well and blooms reliably but my blooms are always very short, barely emerging. I suspect if I began watering earlier I might get taller stalks.
