It's looking like I'm going to have a bumper crop of Gloriosa superba seeds this year. The plants have naturalized in my Zone 10A yard, and are now springing up in places I never planted them. I'm finding conflicting information on line about how to prep them to send in to the Bulb Exchange. Remove the red coat? Leave it on and soak it off right before planting? Also what about viability? I don't know if they'll last long enough to wait for the first BX after they ripen ( they're still at least a few weeks out)? Any help would be appreciated!
