I’d better update myself.
Agapanthus got moved into Alliaceae and has now been moved again, into Amaryllidaceae.
Let’s hope it stays put for a while.

Yes, deer eat agapanthus here in Victoria B.C. too. Of course, that is to be expected, as it is a member of the lily family, not an amaryllid.
