Fwd: PBS website contact:Ask for som pics of wild oxalis

This isn't meant as a comment on this specific request or the
requester. However, there is currently a serious issue in California
with people identified as Chinese and Korean nationals ripping thousands
of plants out of their wild habitats and sending them to Asia for sale to
collectors. One of the succulents commonly stolen is the California
native Duddleya, and the locations of some very rare species are being
kept secret to protect them from predation by these plant thieves.
It occurs to me that photos of plants in situ might provide clues to their
locations. I don't know, of course, that this is also a problem with
South African Oxalis spp.

The following message came via the PBS website. Can anyone help
Jason in
China, who is seeking photos of South African Oxalis in nature?
Thanks,

Dear Madam,
I am a teenager living in China and a really big fan of
different
plants, especially interested in Oxalis and Succulents. It seems
that
these years the South African Oxalis are becoming more and more
popular
in China. Now I have already collected more than 40 Obtusa pieces,
which
are colorful and charming. What I want to do is to ask you for some
pics
of obtusa peices springing in the wild places.I just want to show
them
to all the Chinese Oxalis fans. Thx a lot.
I am looking forward to your reply.
Jason from
China
