Hello Arnold, This is all a little embarrassing. When digging through the plants to get a picture of the culprit bugs, I learned that most of the "bugs" were dried seedpods from the crape myrtle tree that is overhead. However, I did find the bug in the attached picture hidden in the mix. This all started because I noticed my fritillarias dying. They are the two plants with the yellowing leaves in the center of the attached picture.
