Bugs on Crinum and Fritillaria

Hello Arnold,

This is all a little embarrassing. When digging through the plants to get
a picture of the culprit bugs, I learned that most of the "bugs" were dried
seedpods from the crape myrtle tree that is overhead. However, I did find
the bug in the attached picture hidden in the mix.

This all started because I noticed my fritillarias dying. They are the two
plants with the yellowing leaves in the center of the attached picture.

Could you all help me identify the bugs that are decimating my Crinum Ellen
Bosanquet and Fritillarias?

They look like a beetle of some sort. I checked the wiki, but none of the
insects seemed to match.

For what it's worth, I'm in northwest Louisiana, USA. Zone 8b.

I have included some pictures.
