Bulborum Botanicum (Mon, 20 May 2013 14:14:49 PDT)
Hi Jim
I just got an answer from the grower
It was a found in the Camassia leichtlinii alba they grow about 15 years ago
Probably one of the bulbs was damaged so much that the leaves variegated
from this single clone is the whole stock Camassia leichtlinii alba Sacajawea
grown

Dear PBS,
Does any one know the origins of this variegated white flowered
form? I grow the typical blue flowered form and it is just finishing up,
but 'Sacajawea' hasn't even started yet. The whole plant looks bigger than
the typical too. Is it a tetraploid? What's going on here?
Thanks for any info. Jim W.
