Moraea polyanthus is blooming here today for the first time. Thanks, Bob. The plant is very slight of build but seems to have numerous flower buds. This first flower opened at 4 P.M. today. Other than Moraea (Iris) sisyrinchium, this is the first Moraea to bloom here. A look at the wiki suggests that there are many, many beautiful plants in this genus – I wonder how many would have a chance in my protected cold frame here in Maryland?
