Hi List, I'd like to report a success in growing Cardiocrinum giganteum from seed, using the Deno papertowel method, starting cold and taking 3 simulated winters to germination - but that started back in 2015. Now the result (typically me: 1 sole survivor) stands 2.10 m high (nearly 7 feet) and emits a heavy, sweet and spicy scent in the evening. You may see that the upper leaves took some burning damage from sun and up to 36°C (97°F) last week. -- Martin (pronoun: he) ---------------------------------------------- Southern Germany Likely zone 7a -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
