In praise of 'Super E'
P. C. Andrews (Sun, 08 Jul 2007 15:34:44 PDT)
Jim- I couldn't resist it and planted some bulbs back at the beginning of
June. The garden is a bit more southern (Zone 10, lime rock~20% organics).
I'll let you know how they perform in a year or two.
I hadn't considered zone 5, but if I can get my hands on another bulb or
two, I'll give it a try. At the worst, the mush makes good compost for our
clay soil.
Regards,
Phil Andrews
Ann Arbor, Michigan where its finally turned Zone 10.

Dear all,
I had no response to my praise. Does anyone grow it? I know
Jay Yourch does and Alani Davis. Anyone in a more northern situation?
It is still blooming and I have taken my brush to it (as
suggested on the wiki). Anyone for seed ( I wish) ?
Gasping in 95 degree heat with high humidity. Jim W.
