Hi Jim, I have heard the bulbs get very large, possibly implying it's not blooming size yet. Don't know how soon they bloom as my mandonii have not yet bloomed. My papilio x mandonii began blooming at baseball size or larger. Most had 2 blooms - one had 4 which must be from mandonii.
