Homeria bulbs (Michael Mace)

I’ve seen Moraea polystachya growing in a moderately weed-like manner at a
nursery near Escondido, CA. I wouldn’t call it invasive there, but it
looked like it had the potential to be so if given the right situation in
that climate.

Moraea collina is moderately invasive in my yard. It sets seed easily, and
spreads both in garden beds and into the lawn, where it makes large clumps
over time despite regular mowing. I pull the flowering stems whenever they
appear now to keep it suppressed if not extirpated from my garden.
