Hippeastrum and astronomy

Hi Jim,
From a discussion regarding "The Identity and Typification of Amaryllis
Belladonna included in Sealy, J.R. (1939), it appears that Carl Linnaeus
the Younger (i.e., the son of Carl Linnaeus) is credited as the source
for the name Amaryllis equestris.
Sealy, J. R. "Amaryllis and Hippeastrum." Bulletin of Miscellaneous
Information (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew), vol. 1939, no. 2, 1939, pp. 49-68.
Cheers,
